Booking terms

Identity and scope

These terms apply to direct bookings for Villa Vulcano Etna, Via Fortino Pisano 44B, 95019 Zafferana Etnea (CT), Italy, CIR 19087055C211997, CIN IT087055C2HIGOU7OQ. The responsible host is identified in the booking confirmation and can be contacted at +39 351 685 1035.

Price and services

Before confirmation, Smoobu shows the full price: nightly rate, €100 cleaning per booking and €9 linen per guest. Any extra service, including the studio for groups over 10, applies only when confirmed in writing with its supplement.

Payment

A 30% deposit is due on confirmation. The balance is due 10 days before arrival through the personal link sent by Smoobu; full payment is required for arrivals within 10 days. Stripe processes payments and emails a receipt after a successful payment. The booking is confirmed when the required payment succeeds and a confirmation is issued.

Cancellation

For stays under 28 nights, a full refund applies when cancellation is made at least 5 days before check-in; within 5 days, the partial refund stated in the booking summary and confirmation applies. For stays of 28 nights or more, a full refund applies until 30 days before check-in; after that, the first 30 days are non-refundable. The specific terms shown and accepted at booking prevail if there is any difference.

Stay and responsibility

Check-out is by 10:00; check-in time is agreed with the host. Guests must provide the correct party size and respect capacity, quiet, the property and the rules shared before arrival. Damage or problems should be reported promptly. Nothing limits mandatory consumer rights. The standard 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to accommodation supplied on specific dates; the cancellation terms above apply.

Data, purposes and legal bases

We process contact details, booking details, guest count, communications and necessary payment information. We use them to answer enquiries and perform the contract; meet tax, administrative and public-safety duties; prevent fraud and handle disputes; and measure website use only with consent. Legal bases are contract, legal obligation, legitimate interest in protecting rights and consent for analytics. The website does not receive full card details.

Providers and transfers

Smoobu handles checkout, bookings and messages; Stripe processes payments; Cloudflare hosts and protects the website; Google Analytics operates only after consent. These providers may process data outside the EEA under safeguards described in their own privacy notices.

Retention and rights

Data is retained as needed for the booking and legal duties; contractual and accounting records may be kept for up to 10 years. Data relevant to a dispute is kept as needed to handle it. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, and withdraw analytics consent at any time via the Cookies button. You may also complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority.

Cookie policy

Your choices

By default, the website does not load Google Analytics. You can select “Necessary only”, close the banner without analytics or accept statistics. The choice is stored locally for up to 180 days and can be changed at any time using the Cookies button.

Tools used

The website uses local storage villa_cookie_consent_v1 to remember your choice. If you accept analytics, Google may set identifiers such as _ga and related variants to produce usage statistics. Advertising features remain disabled. Links to Smoobu and Stripe open external services governed by their own notices and cookie settings.
