Villa Vulcano is in Zafferana Etnea, a practical base if you want to stay between Etna, the sea and Catania without changing area during the trip. By car, several of the places guests ask about most are easy to reach.
Etna South / Rifugio Sapienza
Around 18 km and 25 minutes by car: an easy base for volcano days, cable car access and scenic stops.
Acireale and the Ionian coast
Around 13 km and 17–20 minutes by car to reach the sea or move easily along Sicily’s eastern coast.
Catania and the airport
Catania city centre is about 24–26 km away and around 29 minutes by car; Catania Fontanarossa Airport is about 30 km away and around 33–34 minutes.
Taormina
Around 34–35 km and roughly 33 minutes by car for a day out between the sea, the old town and an evening stroll.

Is the villa convenient for visiting Etna and reaching Catania or the sea?
Yes. Villa Vulcano is in Zafferana Etnea, well located both for heading up to Etna South / Rifugio Sapienza and for going down towards Acireale, the Ionian coast and Catania. The Location section shows indicative times and distances.
How can I get a quote without booking?
Go to the booking form, enter your arrival date, departure date and number of guests, then click Search. You will immediately see live availability and the total price. At that stage you are not booking and nothing is charged, so you can use the form simply to get a quote.
How does the booking payment work?
To confirm the booking, a 30% deposit of the total amount is required and can be paid immediately by card. The remaining balance is due 10 days before arrival. For bookings made within 10 days of arrival, full payment is required at confirmation.
